An amazing concert performance by three virtuosos.  But it's not the chops-fest that you might expect.  Surprisingly subtle and creative music.

    I really enjoy the spontaneous interplay among these virtuosos. Everything sounds fresh. Both Jaco and Mangelsdorff are very distinctive individually and have plenty of room in the trio. I'm sure it's the trombonist's date but it's a very democratic performance. One of the best concert performances of the decade.
